Matt Pulfer grew up watching his grandfather, Ralph Pulfer, work and train Border Collies. After moving to Texas and retiring from the Marine Corps, Matt decided to take up this enjoyable sport.

In 2015, Matt purchased his first Border Collie, Mac, and Jess in 2017. Using skills he remembers from his grandfather and his own experience in both helping his grandfather, as a youth, and years of 4-H dog obedience – the Pulfer Ranch was established.

All Matt’s dogs and puppies are registered with the American Border Collie Association. Matt is also happy to be a member of the Texas Sheepdog Association.

Matt and his family reside in Waxahachie, TX.
